The word Jigar can mean Liver, heart, courage, dear, friend, depending on the context. Master Bhagwan- the name creates an image of a slightly bulky, smiling and jovial person doing a typical Álbela style dance.

As has been mentioned in the earlier posts of the day, today (19 july 2015) is the seventh birth anniversary of this blog. One single article was posted on the first day of the blog in 2008. When I started collecting cassettes in 1985, I was very crazy about purchasing of cassettes at regular intervals; I was always searching for songs of old films (especially of Rajesh Khanna films at that time).

It was my practice, beginning from 8th standard onwards that I would take up some part time job during my vacations which I would give up as classes would resume. I had taken up a part time job during the vacation period after class 12th as well, but unlike the previous years, I did not go back to my classes this time, rather I continued with this job since I was aware that I was going to fail in my exams.

Today (18 july 2015) is the third death anniversary of Rajesh Khanna ( 29 december 1942- 18 july 2012). People who only read about his superstardom in article and who did not live through that era will not be able to understand what that meant. The entire India was head over heels in love with Rajesh Khanna from late 1960s to early 1970s. Like all good things, it was too good to last forever, though. Rajesh Khanna was not able to handle his superstardom and he began to alienate those who had helped him reach the top. The same people who helped him reach the top began to desert him in favour of the next superstar in the making, viz Amitabh Bachchan, who was better equipped to handle his superstardom.

He used these pseudo names because he was an employee of HMV and his contract with HMV prohibited him from working outside HMV.
