I think I had never gone through the songs of this movie earlier. Our regular reader on the blog Shri Deepak Patwardhan ji has send me ‘farmaaish’ of this song (he had even offered to note down the lyrics of this song too, however I told him that I will take care of that ). Today 1st May’2022 is the one hundred and third birth anniversary of legendary Singer Manna Dey (01.05.1919-24.10.2013). As a tribute to him, I am presenting a motivational song sung by him from the movie ‘Prahaar-1991’.
‘PRAHAAR: The Final Attack’ was a film Produced by Sudhakar Bokade and Directed by Nana Patekar. The star cast includes Nana Patekar, Dimple Kapadia, Madhuri Dixit, and Gautam Joglekar who played the second lead with Madhuri Dixit. Prominent Stage artist Shri.Habib Tanvir played the role of Gautam’s father.
The film was produced under the banner of ‘Divya Films combine’. Its cinematography was done by Debu Deodhar.

Hullo Atuldom
There are so many possible songs to go with today’s post. Songs that will do justice to the personality and versatile talent of the concerned celebrity.
He was an actor born with acting in his genes. He was not a star-kid but a star-heir, facing the camera for the first time when he was barely 2 or 3 years old. He was seen next as an adolescent playing his father’s Bachpan. All that I have written are well known facts about this actor, who in later years turned a producer-director much like his father. Along with his brothers he tried to keep the studio and banner, set up by his showman father, aloft till 2017 when the iconic property in Mumbai’s Chembur area caught fire and collapsed during the shoot of a television reality show. The brothers then decided to pull down the shutters on a piece of history of Indian cinema.

Today’s song is from an obscure, not very well known film Sabyasachi-1948. The name of the film is rather strange and not many people will know what it means. In simple translation it means a person who is Ambidextrous or one who can use both hands with equal expertise. This was an adjective used famously in Mahabharat for Arjun. He was an extraordinary archer and he could do this with both his hands separately and simultaneously, with the same expertise.
