“Sharbati Aankhen” (1945) is a forgotten movie by now. When I decided to discuss a song from this movie, I looked for its details on internet and failed to find much. “Kab Kyun Aur Kahaan” (1970) was produced and directed by Arjun Hingorani. It was his first movie as a producer. The movie had Dharmendra, Babita, Pran, Helen, Asit Sen, Mohan Choti, Shetty, Pran, Dhumal, Ashoo etc in it. This movie must have done good business. Yes, many connoisseurs of Hindi NFSs may have correctly guessed him as Madhukar Rajasthani. I got familiar with his name only because of Vividh Bharati. It is surprising that not much information about him is available on the internet or in any other published materials. There was a time when at least one of the songs written by him used to be played in an early morning programme of devotional songs or in the afternoon programme of sugam sangeet (light semi-classical songs).
