In HFM, we often have two or more artists with similar/ same names and that leads to lots of confusion and disinformation among music lovers. For instance, there are more than one artists named Raj Kumar, Raj Kumari, Shashi Kapoor, Ghulam Mohammad, Trilok Kapoor etc. Often credit for the work of one artist is erroneously given to another artist of same/ similar names. We in this blog has coined a term “same name confusion.”

Today (31 january 2017) is the 13th death anniversary of Suraiyya (15 June 1929 – 31 January 2004). Regulars of this blog are aware that almost all available songs of Suraiyya have already been discussed in the blog. We are now scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as remaining Suraiyya songs are concerned. The remaining Suraiyya songs are rare and obscure songs and we have decided to discuss them only on the occasions of Suraiyya’s anniversaries, at the rate on one song per anniversary. That way, we may still have songs to take care of next three or four years at least.
