The movie had Dharmendra, Shathrughna Sinha, Raj Babbar, Dimple Kapadia, Aruna Irani, Anita Raj, Sumeet Sehgal, Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan, Amjad Khan, Smita Patil, Gurbachan Singh, Vikas Anand, Urmila Bhatt, Abhi Bhattacharya, Janki Das, Pinchoo Kapoor, Iftekar, Paintal, Chandrashekhar, Om Prakash etc in it.

It may be just my perception (and I will be happy to be proven wrong) but I think 1981 was a sort of musical compensation for 1980. Maybe it is just my taste but 1980 was one of those run-of-the-mill years for me as far as pleasant music is concerned.

Here is a funny and feel good song from a Amitabh Bachchan movie called “Toofan” (1989). Few people remember this movie now, but I for one thought that the movie was fairly good by the standards of Amitabh Bachchan movies of those days. I in fact watched this movie more than once.

Kishore Kumar has sung some awesome sad songs, which are very well known. These days,I have been unearthing some forgotten gems of Kishore Kumar. Surprisingly, these forgotten songs are not all that old. These songs were recorded in 1980s. The fact that the movies to which these songs belonged failed miserably, may have been one of the reasons why these songs failed to become as popular as they should have.
