Yesterday, just like that, I googled ‘nine thousand’. Did not expect to find anything really interesting and useful to write about. After all, it is just another number. But really, I was surprised. The second song in the series “Great souls of India” is from film TULSIDAS-1954. It is sung by Mohd.Rafi and this song was quite popular in those days. I have enjoyed it many times on Radio too.

“Balyogi Upmanyu” (1958) was a mythological movie based on the tale of Upmanyu who became a sanyasi in his childhood (therefore the prefix “Balyogi” ).
The movie was a Prakash Pictures production and it was directed by Harsukh Bhatt. The movie had Lalita Pawar,Shalini,Sulochana, Vinod Kumar,Jeevan, Kanhaiyyalal,Madan Puri, Mohan Choti etc in it.
