“Champaakali” (1957) is a movie starring Bharat Bhushan, Suchitra Sen, Shubha Khote etc. This movie is known for some Hemant Kumar songs including the well known song Chhup gaya koyi re door se pukaar ke. I have in fact discussed as many as three songs from this movie in the past.

The 1975 blockbuster movie “Sholay” needs no introduction, but few people are aware that a movie of the same name was also made in 1953. This movie “Shole” (1953) had Ashok Kumar ,Beena Rai ,Poornima ,Manmohan Krishna ,Jeewan ,Mirza Musharraf,Baby Naaz etc in it.

My readers may have noticed that my posts for the last few days have dried up. It is because these days I find myself without internet connectivity because I find myself elsewhere for a few days.
