Though I have discussed as many as seven songs from “Nastik” (1954), I was not aware of this song till a few hours ago.
This song is a bhajan cum public lament. In this song, Ajit, Usha Kiran and others are sitting in a temple in front of the idols of gods and Ajit sings this song. The song states that non believers tend to blame God for their misdeeds, but their efforts to give a bad name to God cannot succeed. God’s flag will always fly high, come what may.

“Raahi” (1953) was a movie that was based on Mulkraj Anand’s novel “Ek Kali Aur Do Pattiyaan”(Two leaves and a bud). Dev Anand and Nalini Jaiwant were the main lead in this movie.

“Samaadhi”(1950) was a movie starring Ashok Kumar and Nalini Jaiwant. Few people today may be bothered about its story, but what songs this movie had ! Absolutely timess songs and a few of them in fact continue to influence Hindi movie songs even today. For instance, the song Gore gore o baanke chhore(Samadhi) is still popular among musical plagiarists for their remixing. When it comes to a patriotic song,Kadam kadam badhaaye jaa (Samadhi) is as iconic as they come.
