“Kaajal” (1948) was a Ratan Pictures production. It was directed by M Sadiq. The movie had Suraiya, Jayant, Gope, Sharda, Ram Kamlani, Cuckoo, Wasti, Amir Banu etc in it.

Five songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the sixth song from the movie. It is sung by Suraiyya. This movie had two lyricists in it, viz.D N Madhok and Shakeel Badayuni but the lyricist of this song is not known.

Only the audio of this song is available. It is clear that the song was picturised on Suraiyya herself. This is a delightful song to listen to and sounds like a Husnlal Bahgatram composition, but it is composed by Ghulam Mohammad.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

haaye re ae
mere dil mein koi na aaye
aaye na mere dil mein
mere dil mein koi na aaye
ke nanha mora naazuk dil haaye re
haaye re ae
