“Chaalis Baba Ek Chor” (1954) is a movie about which every internet site claims to have all the information, but when one visits there, one finds hardly anything of substance. From the little available information, it would seem that Kamini Kaushal was definitely there in this movie. 😀 And then people like Omprakash, Balraj Sahni etc may also have been there in this movie.

“Taraanaa” (1951) is a Dilip Kumar- Madhubala starrer. This movie is studded with songs that are remembered to this day. when I checked up, I have discussed as amny as eight songs from this movie. That leaves only one song that is not yet discussed.

In 1950s, Mukesh was trying hard to be an actor-singer. He was producing his own movies in which he would be the hero and naturally he would sing his own songs. His career as a singer was sugffering as a result, because he was not getting too many assignments as a playback singer. To make matters worse, the movies that he produced and acted in, were proving out to be box office disasters.

“Chaand Mere Aaja” (1960) is a movie that had Bharat Bhushan, Nanda, Maruthi Rao, B.M.Vyas, Achala Sachdev, Lalitha pawaar,jeevan, D.K.sapru, Veena etc in it. This was a Murli Movies productions and it was directed by Raam Dariyaani.

“Baap Beti” (1954) is a very obscure movie and its songs are even more obscure. But what nice songs this movie has !
Here is a lovely song from this movie. This song is sung by Lata and chorus. Only the audio of this song is available, so it is difficult to guess how and whom this song is picturised. My guess is that a music teacher is teaching music to her pupils in this song.
