“Anpadh”(1962) had several songs sung by Lata. I was under the impression that all these songs were picturised on Mala Sinha, but that is not the case.

I have not posted songs from the music director Ganesh for quite some time. Songs composed by him are very difficult to come across. But the effort in finding these songs is well worth it. Almost all his songs are gems of the highest order.

Satyam Shivam Sundaram

This title song of “Satyam Shivam Sundaram” has at least two versions. The song itself is quite popular to this day. Its picturisation is another matter. The critics those days panned Raj Kapoor for using this movie to show Zeenat Aman’s body at every opportunity, which in the view of the critics was against the Indian ethos.
