The movie had Motilal, Khursheed, Padma Banerjee, Yashwant Dube, Kamal Jamindar, Kaneez, Tara Bai etc. in it. Only the first two names in the cast are somewhat familiar. I have little idea about the other actors in the list.

The movie was directed by M Sadiq and it had actors like Wasti , Suraiyya,Gope,Rampyaari,M Ismail etc. Kamal Kapoor who later went on to have a long career as a baddie in Hindi movies, made his debut in this movie.

“Aadhi Raat” (1950) is a movie which was a Kuldip pictures production. It was directed by S K Ojha. This movie had Ashok Kumar and Nargis in lead roles. But if IMDB is to be believed then Cuckoo, Jeewan and Kuldip Kaur were the stars of this movie. 🙂

There was not much known about this movie, but thanks to Mr Arunkumar’s comments about this movie in another song of “Panghat”, we now have a good idea about the story of this movie as well as about the actors.
