“Niraalaa” (1950) was a movie in which two newcomers named Madhubala and Dev Anand played the lead roles. I am sure this movie was a box office success. The movie has been forgotten with time, but its songs are unforgettable.

“Mahal” (1949) was a movie starring Asho Kumar and a very young Madhubala. This movie is also remembered as the one which launched Lata’s career as a playback singer. Her songs in this movie became very popular and one of the songs, viz Aayega aanewaala aayega became a timeless classic.
