“Do Raaste” was one of the earlier hits of Rajesh Khanna. This movie, like most hits of Rajesh Khanna, had many hit songs. In fact, I am coming round to the view that many movies of those days became hits thanks to their music and the credit went to the Hero, often undeservedly. After the mega success of Sholay, another film maker made another movie with its title beginning with “Sh..” and hyped it so much so that everyone thought that this movie was going to be the next Sholay. I have posted different kind of songs in this blog. There is one big category of songs which are sung atop some mode of transportation viz car, train, boat etc. I have noticed that Jeetendra, the jumping jack takes the cake when it comes to singing songs atop different modes of transportation. In addition to the usual modes of man made transportations, he has sung song atop less obvious modes of transportation too. For instance, there was one Jeetendra song sung atop an elephant. I am sure he must have sung songs riding a horse also. He may have missed singing while riding buffalo and donkey though.
