The movie was a resounding failure at the box office. Even its songs failed to climb to the popularity stakes. But that is only to be expected seeing that 1971 was a year of bumper crop of outstanding music.

Today is the birth anniversary of Roshan (14 july 1917- 16 november 1967). In his 18 year long career, which was cut short in his prime, he composed music for 52 movies. This blog has 176 songs from as many as 49 of these movies. It is a matter of time before this blog will have almost all Roshan compositions that are available.
