# Bhoole-Bisre Geet # 61 # Movies with same titles ‘Haar Jeet’

Recently our dear Kamath Saab shared the song ‘Mast Pawan Shaakhen Lehraayen’ from the 1940 movie ‘Haar Jeet’. And seeing that post I immediately recalled sharing one song from the film having the same title – ‘Haar Jeet’ and released in 1972. I thought that a song from this ‘Haar Jeet’ (1972) was already posted on the blog. Or maybe it was discussed in some post or mentioned in comments on the blog.

So another new year is upon us. 2016 is gone and now we are into 2017. Celestially speaking, the earth has completed one full circle round the sun during this period. While the earthlings were busy indulging in their petty activities during this year, the earth covered a distance of 970 millions km at a speed of 107000 kmph which is a speed of 30 km/second !

“Minoo” (1977) was a Hena Films Production. It wa directed by Parshuram and Pushraj. The movie had Baby Moonmoon, Dinesh Thakur, Radha Saluja, Nanditha Thakur, Padma Khanna, Jagdeep, Anwar Hussain, Dulari,Sudhir, Manmauji, Ranjeet Sood etc in it. The story of this movie revolves around a small girl child who was hoping that her mother is going to bring a small brother to play with her. Unfortunately, her mother never returns from hospital to her side. Her father remarries and the girl find it very hard to digest the situation and flees from home. A movie with this kind of story line and that too made on a small budget with no stars did not have a market those days. In fact, a movie like this does not have a market even today and so few people watched this movie.

“Doraaha” (1971) was produced by Ram Dayal and directed by Firoz Chinoy. This movie had an adult theme and that made the movie a “controversial” movie. In other words, the movie audience, media as well as the censors were not mature enough to handle movies of this genre. This movie, as well as other movies of the same genre, viz. “Dastak”, “Chetna” etc suffered from wrong publicity which attracted wrong kind of movie goers to these movies. The movies suffered at the box office. Come to thingk of it, Indian movie audience, media as well as the censors have not yet matured even today, some four decades later, to be able to deal with these kind of movies.

Doley jhumka moraa

I could have sworn that I had this category called “Jhumka” song in this blog, but I was wrong. I had “ghunghroo” catgory, but not “jhumka” category which is clearly an oversight on my part.

Tumhi rehnumaa ho meri zindagi ke

Early 1970s had seen some non mainstream movies made on “bold” subjects. The movie watchers, as well as the movie critics were not mature enough to appreciate these movies. These movies were badly panned by the critics and such movies flopped. “Dastak”, “Chetna” and ‘Do Raahaa” were a few such movies.

Pyaar kabhi kam na karnaa sanam

This is one of those songs that I loved listening to in my formative years without having much clue about it and then I forgot all about the song once this song stopped playing on radio and loudspeakers.

Meri hasraton ki duniya

The movie was no great shakes. But one still needs to sit up and take notice as far as this movie is concerned. The lead characters ( Kiran Kumar and Radha Saluja, I think) do not deserve to lipsync such a divine song, but they do , and in the process try to pull the song down alongwith the movie.
