“Ladki” (1953) is a movie about which I know nothing. It appears that this movie was produced by some South Indian production house and they made this movie in Tamil and Telugu as well.

I was not aware that Madan Mohan had ever worked in a movie starring Shashi Kapoor. Now I realise that “Neend Hamaari Khwaab Tumhaare” (1966) was indeed one such movie.

In Indian thinking, pursuit of money was considered bad and people who had too much money were considered evil. In fact, that stereotyping can be seen very much in older Bollywood movies, where the grocer aka lala ( often played by Kanhaiyalal, Jeewan etc) is always shown as an evil character.

“Chacha Chaudhary” (1953), which was one of the earlier movies of Madan Mohan was interesting in the sense that he preferred Asha Bhonsle’s voice over Lata’s voice for female solo songs. Lata’s voice was used only for duets in this movie. Rajinder Krishan was the lyricist.

“Chacha Chawdhary” (1953) was one of the earlier movies of Madan Mohan as a music director.
This movie is interesting in the sense that Madan Mohan in this movie preferred Asha Bhonsle over Lata for singing female solos. All the female solos in this movie have been sung by Asha Bhonsle. Lata has only figured in duets.

This is one song I remember listening to in my younger days. This was just the kind of song that kids would enjoy listening to. And like many such songs of those days, I had no details available about the song.
