Today (26 january 2013) is the 63rd Republic day of India. Though India had gained political freedom two years back on 15 august 1947, it was on 26 january 1950 that Indian constitution came into existence in India which defined the future course of action for this country. This document- the Indian constitution has since held the nation together and united and the country, despite facing extremely difficult challenges over the decades, has come a long way in the path of progress and development.

Songs that appear in film, but are not released elsewhere. Songs that are on records but not included in the film. Version songs – the official song in the film and on the record, is also available on record in the voice of a different singer. This case is different from the same song sung by more than one singer and included in the film. “Kabhi Kabhi” (1976) was a movie that I became aware of when its title song began to play on radio. I found the title song quite antiquated in its tune. Those were the days when anything not sung by Kishore Kumar or not composed by R D Burman was regarded as old by me. I found that the music of this movie was composed by someone called Khayyam. and that is how I became familiar with this name.
