Today we are celebrating eighty-third birth anniversary of one of the greatest music genius of our country Rahul Dev Burman (27 June 1939 – 4 January 1994), or ‘Pancham’ Da as he is fondly known by all of us. Today we do have a movie under ‘Blog Ten-Years challenge’ where he has composed music. And in fact all the movies presented ten years back in 2012 on this day i.e. 27th June have their music composed by RD Burman only.

Today 4th August 2021 is the ninety-second birth anniversary of legendary Kishore Kumar.
He was born on 4th August 1929 at Khandwa (nowadays MP) and passed away on 13th October’1987 at Mumbai. Had he been alive, he would have celebrated his ninety-second birthday today. But he passed away at the age of fifty-eight years only and left his musical memories with us forever to cherish and enjoy.

It is difficult for me to tell what I was doing during various dates of years gone by, seeing that I do not keep any diary. Diary writing used to be a great hobby of people of past generations. Now a days even the habit of writing with pen on paper has largely gone into disuse, and therefore going back don memor lane and giving accurate personal reminiscences has become difficult.

Hullo atuldom
Many times I find a celebrity’s birthday and then look for a song featuring him/ her. Then, there are times when I see or hear a song and look for the birth-dates or anniversaries of those related with that song. In both the scenarios the post is nearly ready due to readily available songs. There is a third scenario where when I visit the birth-dates/ anniversary page of our blog and I see a birthday of an artiste, whose work I like, coming up, I rush to look for possible songs and find it difficult to zero in on anyone because there are too may options. So to make selection easy, I make things more complicated by trying to find debut songs of the person, adding a condition that the person should be seen lip-syncing and if he/she is dancing in the song or at-least shaking a leg that would be a BONUS.
