Beginning from 1944, Hindi movie industry have produced movies named “Dost” after every ten years. Thus we had movies called “Dost” in 1944, 1954, and 1974. We did not have a “Dost” in 1964, , though we had “Dosti” in 1964.

“Taraanaa” (1951) is a movie starring Dilip Kumar and Madhubala. This movie, in addition to being a treat for movie goers was a treat for music lovers too. I in fact have already discussed as many as six songs from this movie.

I have discussed songs that are stage songs as well as songs that are mujra songs. Here is an interesting song that combines the two. Yes, this song is a stage mujra song. In other words,this song is a stage song where a mujra is presented after the curtain opens.
