‘Do Dil’ from 1947, turned out to be quite a bonanza for Mukesh. Thus far, the film 1945 ‘Pehli Nazar’ had been good, with four songs by him. In this film, Pt. Gobindram got Mukesh to sing as many as six songs. Three of these are solo, and three are duets – two with Suraiyyaa and one with Rajkumari.
