In this post I present a song from the ‘1972’ movie ‘Parchhaayiyaan’. Though the music of this movie is composed by R.D. Burman, none of the songs from this movie ring a bell for me. I may have forgotten them, in case I had listened to them, or may be I failed to associate them with this title.

#Bhoole-Bisre Geet # (Samaadhi-1972)

In this post we are going to listen to a song from the movie ‘Samaadhi-1972’.

This song seems to be excluded from the movie after its release. One comment on the link of this song suggests ‘this song was there when the movie was released initially’. And this comment also mentions that this song is shown as the ‘naach-gaana’ or ‘party song’ at the ‘dacoits’ head quarters’ or at the ‘addaa of the daaku giroh’ 🙂

From the songs, it would appear that the movie was about a lady whose main purpose in life was to fall in love and sing songs dealing with various moods associated with love. 🙂 But no, that was not the case, the lady also played a masked teerandaaz and she championed the cause of suffering masses against a tyrant zameendaar. In order words, she played a female zorro !
