“CID” (1956) as well as “CID 909” (1967) had music by the same music director, viz O P Nayyar. Unlike “CID” (1956), “CID 909” was a B grade movie though. It was a Bindu Kala Mandir Presentation, which was directed by Muhammad Hussai. The movie had up and coming B grade actors namely Feroz Khan and Mumtaz in lead roles, with Helen, Rajen Haksar, Brahm Bharadwaj, Ram Mohan, Rajen Kapoor, Tuntun, Bela Bose, B. Mehta also figuring in it.

“Lakeeren” (1954) has by now ended up as an obscure movie, but that is not how it must have been during its time. It was a Sushil Pictures production and it was directed by Harbans. Starcast of the movie included big names like Ashok Kumar, Nalini Jaiwant, Pran, Durga Khote, Ramayan Tiwari, Cuckoo etc.

As a music director, N Dutta worked for films that are a mix of A grade and B/C grade films. He did have some films associated with big name banners. Especially, he worked for BR Films for the movies Saadhna (1958), Dhool Ka Phool (1959) and Dharamputra (1961). Each of these films is a musical bonanza and boasts of a string of wonderful hits.
