His fans, critics and observers of music, journalists and industry biggies – whatever they may say about his work, all agree that Sachin Da has consistently maintained a very high quality and a very high standard of his music direction work, across all his films.
Remembering SD Burman on the anniversary of his passing away – 31st October, 1975, i.e. 47 years ago.

Karna is an interesting and a great character from Mahabharat. What most people know about Karna is that he was a ” Daan shoor ” or a great Donor. It is said that no one, who went to him to ask for anything, returned without getting it. There are many stories eulogizing his quality. But karna was much more than just this. He was a great Warrior. Though he was the king of Anga Desh (today’s Bihar/Bengal), he knew that he was indebted to the Kauravas for this honour.

Today 28th December’2021 is the fifty-third remembrance anniversary of music director Husnlal (born 1918 as per Wikipedia – death 28th December’1968) of the famous music duo of the golden age of Hindi Film Music – Husnlal Bhagatram.
On this occasion here is a song from the ‘1950’ movie ‘Apni Chhaaya’. This movie had ten songs – two songs were composed by Music Director Hanuman Prasad. And the rest eight songs were composed by Husnlal-Bhagatram.

It was the most unexpected and hearty welcome to my very first post on this Blog on 1-10-2012. I was happy, elated and enthusiastic. I began writing posts after posts. In those days, like me there were some other contributors too, like Sudhir ji, Nahm ji, Sadanand ji etc.After 4-5- posts, I thought why not start a Theme Series of posts and I began my first Theme Series” Less known singers’ on 6-10-2012. The readers’ response was tremendous. After 10 songs, I started my second series ” Songs by Non- Singers’ 0n 28-11-2012.
