“Baghdad” (1961) was a Southern Movies production. It was directed by T R Sundaram. The movie had M. G. Ramchandran, Vyjyantimala, Gopal Krishna, T. S. Balliah, Nambiar, Sandhya, Helen etc in it. That makes it one of the rare movies where M G Ramchandran was seen in a Hindi movie. I wonder if it was a dubbed movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie.

When one talks of a movie called “Chaandni”, one normally means the Vinod Khanna, Sri Devi starrer movie of 1989.
It turns out that a movie of this title was released as far back as in 1942 as well.

“Sharbati Aankhen” (1945) is a forgotten movie by now. When I decided to discuss a song from this movie, I looked for its details on internet and failed to find much. Then I noticed that a post of this blog is also listed by google as a source of information for this movie. “Darshan” (1941) was directed by Chimanlal Luhar. The movie had Prem Adib, Jyoti, Bhudo Advani etc in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the third song from this movie. This song is sung by Sheetal Ghosh. From the name of the singer, I expected to listen to a sweet female voice. But I found myself listening to a masculine voice instead. 🙂
