Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 68
Yet another rarely heard song of Asha Bhosle – “Kya Gazab Karte Ho Ji “ from “Love Story” (1981). It was written by Anand Bakshi and composed by R D Burman.
“Love Story” was jointly directed by Rahul Rawail and Rajendra Kumar, with Rajendra Kumar producing the film, under the banner “Dimple” films. The movie starred Kumar Gaurav, Vijayeta Pandit, Rajendra Kumar, Vidya Sinha, Danny Denzongpa, Amjad Khan, Jagdish Raj, T.P. Jain, Kamaldeep, Azad, Jezebel, Gufi Paintal, Farooque Shorty, Subhash, Amarjeet Sunder, Hangama, Shakeel, Laxman Thumre, Aruna Irani, Prem Kalra, Dev Kumar, Ram Mohan, Bharat Kapoor, Ram Sethi, Bina. The music is by R. D. Burman and lyrics by Anand Bakshi.

‘Jeewan Jyoti’ (1976) was produced under the banner of AVM Productions and was directed by Murugan Kumaran. The cast included Vijay Arora and Bindiya Goswami in the lead roles with the supporting cast of Rakesh Pandey, A K Hangal, Sulochana Chatterjee, Sudhir, Dinesh Hingoo, Om Shivpuri, Satyen Kappu, Dulari, Bhanumathi, Jayamalini, Halam, Ritu Kamal etc. Bindiya Goswami made her debut with this film. The film was a remake of a National Film Award winner Telugu film, ‘Mutyala Muggu’ (1975).

“Prem Shastra-1974” was directed by B.R. Ishara for ‘Nalanda Arts, Bombay.
It was produced by Amar Jeet.
It had Dev Anand, Zeenat Aman, Bindu, I.S. Johar, Abhi Bhattacharya, Sajjan, Anwar Hussain, Murad, Asit Sen, David, Mumtaz Begam, Dulari, Manhar Desai, Mohan Sheri, Lajwanti Sharma, Amrut Patel, Mishrilal and others.

Gajanan Jagirdar, Sharat Saxena etc. It was an action drama film loosely based on Sidney Sheldon’s novel, ‘Rage of Angels’ (1980) which I had read long back.

‘Professor Ki Padosan’ (1994) was produced by Kant Kumar and was directed by Ravi Tandon and Shantilal Soni. The cast included Sanjeev Kumar, Asha Parekh, Padmini Kolhapure, Deven Verma, Dilip Tahil, Shekhar Suman, Aruna Irani, Anant Mahadevan, Urmila Bhatt, Abhi Bhattacharya etc. Shoma Anand, Tabassum, Yunus Parvez and Vasant Sena made their specials appearances in the film. Amitabh Bachchan is the narrator of the film who appears at the beginning and the end of the film. This is the last of the films of Sanjeev Kumar which was released on April 29, 1994, about 8 years after his death. This was R D Burman’s second released film after his death, the first being ‘1942, A Love Story’ (1994) which was released a fortnight earlier.
