Journey Through Lata’s Melodies – 03
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I first became aware of this song through Abhi To Main Jawaan Hoon series on RMIM. Snehal Oza’s description was so vivid that it painted a picture of the song in my mind. The quest for it began in the late 90’s.

“Chhaliya”(1973), though a later offering as compared to the well known “Chhaliya”(1959), has ended up becoming an obscure movie. “Chhaliya”(1973) was produced by Sudesh Raj Gupta and directed by Mukul Dutt. The movie had Navin Nischol, Shatrughan Sinha, Nanda, Helen, Jairaj, Sajjan, Asrani, Manmohan, Bhagwan, Rajendra Nath, Sujit Kumar etc in it.
