The deluge of excellent songs was such that music lovers not only enjoyed the heavy downpour, but loved every piece of Music.

I have in one of my earlier posts mentioned this that music lovers like me always have songs playing in their mind. Or some incidents/memories will always bring some song to mind (that is what I think). For me many things / situations time to time bring me to some song, or it will remind me of some song that I would have listened earlier may be years before or a song which is lying dormant in my memory.

Today’s song is from a well known film ‘Baadbaan’ (1954). Well known for the simple reason that this was the last film coming from a one-time giant film studio Bombay Talkies. it was the last ditch effort of all the well wishers and workers of Bombay Talkies to save the company from closing down. Unfortunately the effort did not succeed and it was curtains for Bombay Talkies with this movie.

After discussing over 13600 songs in the blog, which is roughly 25 % of all Hindi movie songs created upto 1980 and nearly 40 % percent of all the available songs (my rough estimate), one may feel that almost all great songs have already been covered in the blog.
