“Tel Maalish Boot Polish” (1961) is a B grade movie which was produced by Rajan films and it was directed by Romney Dey. This movie had Sheikh Mukhtar, Chandrashekhar, Kumkum, Madan Puri, Agha, Amar, Radhika etc in it. This is the kind of B grade movie that had good scope foe being successful, what with this being an action movie with the original action hero in Sheikh Mukhtar. The fact that this movie had great music as befitting a B grade movie also helped.

“Hamsaaya” (1968) is a movie which had Joy Mukherji, Mala Sinha and Sharmila Tagore in it. As the title suggests, this movie had Joy Mukherjee in double role.One is Chinese and other in Indian. 🙂 Mala Sinha is the love interest of the Chinese Joy Mukherji while Sharmila Tagore plays the love interest of Indian Joy Mukherji.

“Mohabbat Zindagi Hai” (1966) is a movie starring Dharmendra, Rajashree, Nazir hussain, Mehmood, Chaand Usmani etc. It is a lesser known movie as far as I am concerned, but this movie has some nice songs in it.

“Simla Road” (1969) is a quintessential B grade movie which was forgotten almost as soon as it was released. This movie had Dev Kumar and Sarita in lead roles. Dev Kumar later found himself playing roles of villain’s henchman, whereas Sarita vanished from movies without a trace.
