“Phool Aur Patthar” (1966) was the movie that gave Dharmendra his “He-Man” image, and made him the star that he was known as for much of his career, if I remember correctly.Or, am I confusing this movie with “Shola aur Shabnam” ?

“Aadmi aur Insaan” (1969) was a movie with Ravi’s music. This information is enough to conclude that the movie must be full of nice songs. And that is how it turns out to be.

“Kartavya” (1978) was a Dharmendra-Rekha movie which for some reason has been forgotten, so much so that I have not been able to get my hands on its VCD/DVD despite trying for several weeks.

“Aadmi aur insaan” (1969) had Ravi’s music. When I looked at the list of songs that I have posted from this movie, I found that I had posted just one song, and that too a “lesser” known one. Knowing Ravi, he creates a bagful of hit songs in every movie where he is the music director, many of which have gone on to become iconic songs.

I have noticed that Bollywood movie offers songs for all occasions and all occupations. For example, beggars, band parties of weddings etc have been using appropriate songs for decades.

This was a wonderful “paayaliya” song from “Jugnu” (1973), before the newer “paayaliya ” song came up two decades later in “Deewaana” (1992).
