The movie had Dharmendra, Rajshree, Mehmood, Nazir Hussain, Chaand Usmani, Deven Verma, Badri Prasad, Sunder, Man Mohan, Madhavi, Kundan, Kesho(Keshav Rana), Parasram, Kirti aka Kirti Kumar, Raj Dewan, Dinanath, Johnny Whiskey, etc. O.P. Nayyar was the music director for songs written by S.H. Bihari. Mahendra Kapoor, Mohd. There were several actors who appeared in friendly appearance in this movie. Regulars on the blog are aware that we are looking back at the missing movies released fifty years ago right from the beginning of this decade of ‘2021-2030’. In other words we are looking back at the decade of 1971-1980 from the beginning of this decade. It means we looked back at the missing movies of 1971 during 2021, missing movies of 1972 during the years 2022 and the missing movies of 1973 during the year 2023. Now we are into the year 2024 and so we are looking at the missing movies of 1974.

Today’s song is from the movie ‘Darling Darling’ (1977). Going by the Censor Board Certificate dated 11.05.1977 of this movie, I was just over nine years old when this movie must have been released. But I did not get to watch this movie then and I do not remember to have watched it later elsewhere. This movie had few good songs and they happen to be played frequently on loud-speakers then. Particularly I think the title song of this movie was heard more than other songs then. To me this song was an irritating song then. We as children were even shy to say the word ‘darling’ because we thought it was ‘ultra-modern’ type word for children like us who were studying in small village school. 🙂
