Today, we all are celebrating a special day, the fifth birthday of our blog. Like all contributors and fans of this blog, I was also absent at the birth of this blog. The blog was already three years and four months old when I was introduced by a close friend of mine. The relationship grew stronger every day and now I feel proud and fortunate to be part of this family. I pray the Lord that this blog blooms every day and the fragrance of it’s blossom spreads everywhere.

Mukti (1977) stars Shashi Kapoor, Vidya Sinha, Sanjeev Kumar and Bindiya Goswami. Shashi Kapoor plays Vidya Sinha’s husband. This happy couple has a daughter, who would grow up to be Bindiya Goswami. In the happier times of this small family, the father sings a lullaby to his daughter. As usual in films, these happy times don’t last forever and the father goes missing and then it is the mother’s turn to sing the lullaby with a similar mukhdaa but different antaras. “Deewaar” (1975) must be regarded as one of the most influential movies of its time. Unlike most Hindi movies, the music of this movie only had a marginal role to play in the success of the movie. In fact no song of this movie figured in the Binaca geetmala finals.
