Today’s movie eligible for ‘Blog Ten Years Challenge’ is “Ek Sholaa-1958”.
‘Ek Sholaa-1958’ was directed by Chander Saigal for ‘Deep & Pradeep Productions, Bombay’. Deep Khosla and Pradeep Kumar were the producers of this movie and that is why the name ‘Deep and Pradeep Productions’.
It had Pradeep Kumar, Mala Sinha, Nazeer Hussain, Jawahar Kaul, Dhumal, Tuntun, Baby Naaz, Baby Ashwini, S.K. Prem, Deep Khosla, Leela Mishra, Shobha Khote, Rajan Kapoor, Jamila, Kathana, Visheshar, Indra, Ranjana Shukla, Ravi Tandon, Kamaldeep, Gopal Vashisht and others.

So we reach yet another century of posts in the blog. It appears to be a rather fast century, even though it took 45 days. It is faster in comparison to “recent” centuries though. It is the fastest century since 147th century (Song number 14601 to 14700) which took 53 days to complete. There were days when centuries in 16 days used to be the norm. 🙂
Better late than never, of course. The blog keeps movis steadily, without a pause and that gives us the confidence that our musical bandwagon in moving (however slowly) and so we are indeed inching towards our destination.

chupke se kho gaya. . .
Searching through his list of songs, I chanced upon this gem of a melodious creation – one of those ‘love at first hear’ type songs that I have really come across after so many days. It has been sitting in my collection forever, and I pulled it today, looking for an unheard or less heard song to include in this post. The composition is quite atypical with a different sound structure attempted. A beautiful melody that I am sure you will also fall in love with.
Remembering C Arjun today, on the anniversary of his passing away (30 April, 1992).

Hullo Atuldom
“Shankar Shambu” (1976) was directed by Chand for AK Movies and had Feroz Khan, Vinod Khanna, Sulakshna Pandit, Bindu, Jagdeep, Ajit, Anwar Hussain, Pradeep Kumar, Sulochana, Jayshree T. Jankidas, Sudhir, Lalita Pawar, Viju Khote etc. It was a bandit story which is in my list of movies to be seen. This movie had five songs three of which have been posted on this blog. All the songs were written by Sahir Ludhianvi a favorite lyricist of a few followers of this blog.
