We are into the last month of 2021. This is my first post for the month, and we have a few super-actors celebrating their birthdays this month. LIFE is a strange phenomenon – full of unexpected things and coincidences. Normally, I never take a long break in my post writing. Last month, however, I needed a break to relax and do things which I have been postponing or delaying – at Home level and work sphere. So I wrote to Atul ji informing him that I would take a hiatus from writing my posts from 28th October till well after Diwali, i.e. 10th of November. Little did I know that The Fate was smiling from behind me and that it already had its own plans to enforce a break to my total activities in the same period. Call it my Intuition or premonition. Whatever.

Hullo Atuldom
Hope all are fine after a week of festivities and excitement. This morning I got a smart message on WhatsApp: “Tyohaar ke baad ghar mein Lakshmiji aaye na aaye, shareer mein Ganeshji zaroor aa jaate hai”- I am sure, many are facing this syndrome as well as a lot of lethargy after the bout of eating sweets and savouries. So, we are going to have a song that will compel us to wear our dancing shoes, shake a leg etc. This should help to shake away the extras that have gathered in our system, in this last week.

Today, November 5, 2021 is the 13th Remembrance Day of producer-director, B R Chopra. I admire him for his courage to make films on sensitive and socially relevant issues at a time when most of other producers would have avoided such issues. As far as I know, B R Chopra became the director without working under any one of the well-known directors of his time or even working in any other departments of the film making which is laudable.

The decade of the 50’s saw almost a spate of Hindi films from South. Some were dubbed, some were remakes and a few were first made in Hindi before they were remade into Tamil or Telugu etc.
