There are a few such songs which I never heard again for several decades. Thanks to this blog, which makes me look for songs and which familiarises me with songs sent as farmaishes by my readers, I have been rediscovering many of these forgotten gems.

This song from “Kohinoor”(1960) is an ultimate “Chhaayaageet” song which is my way of saying that this romantic song is ideal for listening to at late night. And indeed many listeners may have listened to this song in the late night “Vividh Bharati” programme of this name.

When I was a youngster in my teens, I was under the impression that old songs meant boring songs, which were mostly like Ghazal, sad songs etc. But it is only much later that I realised that some wonderful light hearted songs too were created those days. I have already posted many of them in this blog.
