On the blog, other than sharing songs and posts for special occasions we also simultaneously work on ‘different projects’ from time to time. One of the projects that I have taken up is to introduce ‘movies having same titles’ on the blog.

We also combine launching of new ‘movie’ with special occasions like anniversaries of artists, actors, actresses etc.

Today I am presenting a song from the 1973 movie ‘Qeemat’. We already have a movie titled ‘Qeemat-1946’ on the blog and all its songs have also been covered on the blog.

These days I am searching for movies where only one song was covered. I discussed one such movie in my earlier post here where only one song from the movie was posted. Now I have come across another such movie. It is “Shaahi Baazaar”(1957). The movie made its debut in the blog with the song ‘dil mastaane jhoom le aaj gulon ko choom le’ which was posted on 29.01.2017. That remains the only song from the movie in the blog so far.

Today’s song is from a debutant movie ‘Dharti Ki God Mein-1971’. I was longing to introduce this movie on the blog since long but was not able to locate its songs and they seem difficult to find. Now they are available uploaded since last year i.e. 2019. Thanks to the uploader.

Recently,(12th of July’2020 to be precise) the blog saw the 5000th song from the decade 1951-1960 covered on the blog.

This ‘melodious decade’ has around ten thousand songs (as per HFGK) and if we look from that point of view we are just at the ‘half-way mark’ (or little above now as the songs are getting added frequently to this decade, thanks to the collaboration of our team members and also because of projects like Blog Ten Year Challenge.

Blog ten year challenge (2010-2020)- Song Number 85
————————————————–

Atul ji has rightly mentioned in his post regarding BTYC posts coming up regularly, having taken precedence over other projects in the process. Today 12th Sep 2020 is forty-ninth remembrance day of the genius music director Jaikishan of Shankar-Jaikishan duo.

Jaikishan was born on 04th November 1929 at Vansda (in Navsari district, Gujarat) and passed away on 12th September 1971 at Bombay (now Mumbai, Maharashtra). He was only 41 when he passed away and his death shook the entire film industry then.

As a tribute to him here is a song from the 1971 movie – ‘Yaar Mera’. One song from this movie – “Dil Ki Kitaab Kori Hai, Kori Hi Rehne Do” – has already been presented on the blog by Sudhir ji on 13th Sep’2013 with a heartfelt tribute to Jaikishan remembering him on his 42nd remembrance anniversary. Today we will listen another song from the same movie.
