Today’s Kavi Pradeep song is from the movie ‘Harishchandra Taramati-1963’. This movie had made its debut on the blog more than seventeen years ago on 10.02.2009. The first song from this movie to appear on the blog was a prayer song where in the kid (Master Babloo) in the movie is praying to God. This song is a nice-cute-heart touching song and poignant song as well, in the voice of Lata Mangeshkar. The song is ‘main ek nanhaa saa main ek chhotaa saa bachchaa hoon’.

‘Shiv Bhakt’ (1955) was produced under the banner of AVM Productions and was directed by H L N Simha who also wrote the story. The cast included Shahu Modak, Pandari Bai, Padmini, Anant Kumar, Mishra, Kumaridevi, Rushyendramani, Ragini, H Ramachandra Shastri, Deshraj etc. The film was a remake of the Kannada film, ‘Bedara Kannappa’ (1954) – [English translation: ‘Hunter Kannappa’] which was also directed by H L N Simha. Later, there were remakes of the film in Tamil and Telugu.
