Yet another rarely heard song by Asha Bhosle is – “Tere Naam Ki Deewani” from Hum Se Hai Zamana (1983) penned by Ravindra Rawal and composed by Raamlaxman.
Hum Se Hai Zamana(1983) was produced and directed by Deepak Bahry. It starred Mithun Chakraborty, Zeenat Aman, Amjad Khan, Danny Denzongpa, Shreeram Lagoo, Kajal Kiran, Sonu Nigam, Seema Deo, C S Dube, Kamal Kapoor, Kim, Poornima, Ranjeet, Sunder, Asha Lata, Bob Christo, Pinchoo Kapoor, Viju Khote, Tej Sapru, Sharat Saxena

A very Happy 2025 to Atuldom
Normally, at the turn of the calendar, i.e. beginning of the New Year, people decide on the activities that they will undertake from Day 1 of the new year. These are generally categorised as New Year resolutions. These resolutions could be of giving up a bad-habit like smoking, flying off-the handle at slightest provocation, or looking after their health by taking up exercising or walks etc. People manage to be true to their resolutions for a few days, weeks or at the most a month. Very few manage to keep up the promise they have made to themselves for longer periods. As for myself, I have never made promises or resolutions so that I don’t feel let down (by myself).
But, there is always a thought at the back of my head that I should be more aggressive and send more posts to Atulji. I managed it to an extent in 2023 but the pace fell in 2024. I am not going to give reasons for my slackness, and most of my reasons are genuine (in my own thoughts).

Hullo Atuldom
India is celebrating the 75th year of its Independence. Mumbai based Rajshri productions and distribution company is also celebrating its 75th year.
I am sure we have many knowledgeable followers in the blog who will give us information on how Rajshri took to making critically acclaimed films that were also commercially successful. Most of their films had stories that stressed on values, family ties, unity etc. and provided opportunity for family outings. I recall a cinema hall in Chembur, Mumbai was decked up, almost like a wedding hall, when Rajshri’s ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ was released and all of the outfits worn by its characters became a rage at that time.

Remembrance day of Kalyanji :

Since yesterday, when I chanced upon “Dharmatma”(1975) in the “list of songs-moviewise”, I am in a fix. How to start this post !
Unbelievably, only two famous songs from ‘Dharmatma” are posted.
kya khoob lagti ho and
tere chehre mein wo jaadoo hai
Dharmatma had only 4 songs but all were quality songs. As a tribute to Kalyanji (of Kalyanji-Anandji duo) on his 20th death anniversary, I am presenting this song “meri galiyon se logon ki yaari badh gayi”, a duet by Lata Mangeshkar and Mahendra Kapoor. Indeevar is the lyricist.

The musical bandwagon rolls on – toiling, pleasing, emotionally invigorating – it continues to move tirelessly. Because. . . because music – must be there. The world, this nature – all are moving to a rhythm, and a melody. Music is instilled in everything every entity we know, we touch, we think of. But come to think of it, we do not often think of this world that way i.e. music in everything, everyday of our lives. We are so consumed with the process of existence and living day to day, that we forget to stop and smell the flowers (or smell the coffee, if you are in America). At the very outset, I must congratulate our Leader or Sutradhar as I like to call him or Ranchi Wala Gaanewala as Sudhir ji once called him (he is no longer in Ranchi but the name stays) on reaching a very important milestone- 10000 songs, imagine it is TEN THOUSAND posts by a single person. For this we should all give a collective YYIIPPEEEE!!!! Mubarak Ho! Mubarak Ho!
This must be a record of sorts where a blog has survived this looong and its karta-dharta has sooo many posts to his credit. And to think that this blog doesn’t make any comments or remarks on any person, place, caste, religion etc. the closest we come to religion is when a bhajan or qawwali is posted. Three cheers to that!

“Fakira” (1976) was produced by N N Sippy and directed by C R Dixit. The movie had Shashi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Asrani, Aruna Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Asit Sen, Ramesh Deo, Madan Puri, Shetty etc in it.
