Hullo everyone

Last year on the 7th of April I sent Atul the lyrics for a song from “Kinaara”. I think that song was “Meethe Bol Bole” by Bhupinder for Jeetendra. On that day it was late night by the time I sent it to Atul. This year I have gone one step further and am sending this song as a belated celebration of Jeetendra’s birthday. I went through yesterday’s post only today and saw no Jeetu song. So then I checked out Arunkumarji’s list of songs left out from each movie and found a Happy Go Lucky song from “Caravan”.

Recently four physics students of University of Leicester, UK carried out a study in British Parliament and found out that the hot air produced by the 650 parliamentarians in the house of commons generated 10.34 kW of energy, which if properly harnessed can light up as many as 1000 energy efficient bulbs or 200 conventional bulbs. I heard these lines in the inimitable voice of Mohammed Rafi yesterday on Radio Rafi. I was looking for details regarding this song in the Database at mohdrafi.com, so not paying much attention to the radio playing. As the words of the poem registered, it caught my attention. I managed to catch the last line in the audio clip “pujaari husn ka hoon main”.

The movie had Sanjeev Kumar, Jeetendra, Sulakshana Pandit, Neetu Singh, Pran, Amjad Khan, Nazneen, Satyen Kapoo, Paintal, Kader Khan, Preeti Ganguly, Deven Varma, Birbal, Rajan Haksar, Sunder, Jayashree T, Rajendranath, Shivraj, Purnima, Ram Sethi,Prem Bedi,Master Vikas, Rajeev Tandon, Bhushan Tiwari, Neilu Arora etc in it.

“Kinaara” (1977) was produced by Pranlal Mehta and directed by Gulzar. Jeetendra and Hema Malini were in lead roles in this movie. Dharmendra (Guest appearance), Dr Shreeram Laagoo, Om Shivpuri, Dina Pathak etc were also there in this movie.

I am sure all readers will immediately identify them as S-J, L-P, and K-A (Shankar Jaikishan, Laxmikant Pyaarelal, and Kalyan ji Anand ji).
