Here is a party song from “Sagaai” (1966). This song is sung by Rafi. It is Madhumati and another female dancer who perform dance on this song. The actor lip syncing in Rafi’s voice is Johny Whiskey. This must be one of the very few occasions when Johny whiskey got to “sing” a song in a movie.

Many movies have been made in Bollywood on the story of Alibaba and forty thieves. The first such movie, that I am aware of, was made in 1954. It was a C grade movie and it had Mahipal and Shakila in lead roles.

I have found an absolute gem of a song just now. It is from “Bhai Bahan” (1959).

If one listens to just the audio of this song, it sounds unmistakably like a song from a Shammi Kapoor movie. The song is sung by Rafi and Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics is by Hasrat Jaipuri, music is by Shankar Jaikishan. It all seems to add up. The song even has Rafi shouting “Hurray” (reminiscent of “Yaahoo” in an earlier Shammi Kapoor movie)
