Today (27 june 2015) is the birth anniversary of R D Burman (27 june 1939-4 january 1994). Today also happens to be a weekend, viz a day when I am theoretically free. So I have resolved to try and post as many R D Burman compositions today as I can. So, yesterday afternoon we receive this message from Peevesie’s Mom. There is a Chitalkar song. A friend of hers is looking for it. As it was revealed in later part of the thread, this friend had heard this song on the ‘Bhoole Bisre Geet’ program on Radio Ceylon (now called the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation). When he switched on the radio, the song had already started so he missed the introductory information, like film name and artist etc. Singer he could recognize from the voice. It is Chitalkar (C Ramchandra).
