“Muqaddar Ki Baat” was produced by Bimla L Khaitan and directed by Kamal H Thakur. The movie had Neeta Mehta, Deepak Parashar, Rameshwari etc in it. This movie never saw the light of the day, though its records were released in 1983. There were eight songs in a 33 RPM record. These songs were sung by Mahendra Kapoor and Pushpa Pagdhare. Indeewar, Noor Ahmad and Bimla Khaitan (producer) were the three lyricists. Music was composed by O P Nayyar. Mahendra Kapoor had three solos, Pushpa Pagdhare had two solos, while there were three duets by the two.

It’s not easy writing this. I’ve written many posts here on the death anniversaries of various artistes – but in all those cases, I’ve had the benefit of distance of time from the event. Even if it is the first death anniversary, at least 365 days have passed since. That does make a difference. Today’s post isn’t a death anniversary post. It’s a tribute post, of course, but the artiste in question has just left us a few hours ago! And we are still in mourning. Which is why I write this post now with a lot of sadness in my heart.

The film ‘Pyaase Dil’, from 1974 is an unfamiliar and obscure entity. However, not for the readers of this blog. This film has been discussed briefly, and not so briefly, in the three posts of the songs of this film that have appeared so far on this blog. The film has a total of four songs. This post brings forth the fourth and the final song of this film on to the blog today.
