I have mentioned in one of my earlier post here that these days I am looking for movies where only one song has been posted so far. In my daily browsing of the blog while I have already noted some movies, new surprises keep coming e.g. the time-lag between posting of the first song of the movie and thereafter posting of the second song. While we can understand a couple of year time-lag is considerable some have to wait for their second song almost more than five to six years or even ten years as we have seen during posting of ‘blog ten-year challenge song’. Well, if that was not enough, I have found a movie with a song posted in 2008 and still waiting for its second song to be posted on the blog. 😊

30th October’2020 is the thirtieth ‘Rememberance Day’ of one of the much loved and handsome actors of Hindi Film Industry – Vinod Mehra. He was born on 13th February’1945 and passed away at the young age of forty-five only. The news of his death shocked everybody at that time. He started his career in Hindi movies as a child artist in the late fifties and his career as an adult began in 1971.

Today 28th Oct’2020 is the ninetieth birth anniversary (born on 28.10.1930 in Varanasi) of Lalji Pandey better known to us by his pen-name ‘Anjaan’.
As per our blog statistics he has written over 1300 songs during his career in Hindi movies. Most of his works were in collaborations with composers Kalyanji–Anandji, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, R. D. Burman and Bappi Lahiri.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2010-2020) – Song No. 87

Welcome all to the ‘Blog Ten-Year Challenge’ series where today we will have a song after a gap of almost a month. Last song posted under the ‘challenge’ was on 25.09.2020.
We missed some opportunities, but today hopefully we will have two songs in this challenge.
If we see the songs posted ten years back on this day (20.10.2010), we had only three posts on that day as given below;

Today 15th October is (15.10.1922) is ninety-eighth Birth Anniversary of the genius music director Shankar Singh Raghuvanshi or known popularly as Shankar of Shankar-Jaikishan duo.
He was born on 15th October’1922 at Hyderabad Deccan in the then state of Hyderabad.
And left this mortal world at the age of sixty-four on 26th April’1986 at Bombay.
As a tribute to him I am presenting a song from the 1977 movie ‘Duniyaadaari’.

Today 13th October’2020 is the thirty-third ‘Remembrance Day’ of the legendary singer Kishore Kumar.
It was on 13th October’1987 that he left this world at the age of fifty-eight only (04.08.1929-13.10.1987) leaving his family, followers and fans shocked, grief-stricken and heart-broken.
On this occasion as a tribute to him here is a song from ‘1976’ movie ‘Aaj Ka Ghar’.
