Then there were movie makers who regarded certain words as lucky for them. For instance Sawan Kumar fancied the word “Sautan” in his movies while producer Girsh Jain regarded the word “Khiladi” as his lucky word in his movie titles.

I had heard this song “rang le aayenge roop le aayenge” many times during its days in 1970s. This song was quite a popular song of its time, but all this while I was not aware about the movie this song was from. It is only now that I have come to know that the song was from a movie called “Bhanwar” (1976). This by now obscure movie was an Evershine Pictures production. It was produced by Shyam Keswani and Nandu Mirani. Bhappi Sonie was the director.
