Few people today remember this movie called “Ahsaas” (1979). This movie was a quicky movie produced by G P Sippy in the interim period between his two big movies viz. “Sholay” (1975) and “Shaan”(1980). “Ahsaas” (1979) was produced with newcomers with names that no one had heard of. Among all the midnight children (as Salman Rushdie would describe children born on that day in his best selling novel of the same name), Rakhi must be the most well known one. She is exactly of the same age as the nation of India !
