Today’s ‘poetry recitation’ is the third offering from this movie ‘Kavi Sammelan’ (1972) to appear on the blog.

The first ‘poem-post’ from this movie – “Tum Ek Baar Priye Aa Jaao“, was posted on the blog on 05.02.2022. This poem was written and recited by ‘poet-lyricist’ Maya Govind. The second poem from this movie – “Lakshmi Maiyya Var De” was presented on 12.02.2022 which was written and recited by Kaka Hathrasi.

The movie ‘Kavi Sammelan’ was directed by Kedar Sharma for Rajshri Productions Pvt Ltd., and it was was produced by Tarachand Badjatya. Compering of this poetry recitation program and introduction of the poets was done by Ramrikh ‘Manhar’.

Today we remember Ramchandra Narayandut Dwivedi who is fondly known to us as ‘Kavi Pradeep’ or ‘Rashtra Kavi Pradeep’. Today is his 23rd ‘Remembrance Day’.

He was born on 6th February,1915 and passed away on 11th December,1998 leaving treasure of his poems and songs sung by him in his immortal voice.

Thinking about the past events in the life and planning for the future is one of the common activities of human beings most of the time. This, at times, can become a stressful activity during which negative thoughts can creep in the mind. In this process, we tend to lose focus on the current activities. We try to neatly plan for the future based on the past experiences. But not all the parameters of the future plan run on the basis of what was determined at the time of planning. The reason is that there are many uncertainties on the way to attaining the goal. I will give the example of planning my Himalayan treks to elucidate the tyranny of uncertainties.
