- The Public Services department of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reported success in locating media material
- The Department of Census of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India, reports major population shifts in Chhatisgarh state

The picture shows one of the scenes of my dream we all know that the weirdest things in this world are dreams. Before this dream I read a book – ‘The midnight theft’. The name sounds good but the contents was just horrible. Now the question comes that if I found the book was such, then why did I go on to read the whole book. It is 1934 and the fledgling Hindi talkie film industry is in its fourth year only. The volume of business is slowly continuing to grow. In the three years prior i.e. 1931-33, a total of 161 films were certified by the Censor Board. 1934 saw a sharp increase in production and in all, 120 new films were certified in this year. And this production is coming not just from Bombay. Of course, a major share is produced in Bombay, but almost a quarter of this number comes from the production studios in Calcutta. Then come Pune, Kolhapur and Lahore – really just a handful. But still signifying that the production of Hindi films was a focus at multiple centers around the subcontinent.
