For years together we have grown-up reading stories of our freedom struggle and the great revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives on the way of their fight for freedom of this country.

Hullo Atuldom

This post of mine is one of those where I love to combine two celebrities/artistes. The two, who are the central to today’s post, have a sizable amount of work to show for their long innings in the film industry. There are a lot of songs of the actress yet to be posted as also around 1574 out of 4846 of the singer. After a lot of rummaging I found something that is appropriate for today.

The Voice of Mukesh #75
– – – – – – – – – – – – –

One hundred years ago today. One of the most revered persona of Hindi film music was born in Delhi. Today, we are celebrating his centenary birth anniversary. More famous for his somber, sad and poignant renditions, he is known as the singer of melancholia. Of course romantic moods for him also meant ‘poignant’ for him. As is the song I am presenting in this post today.

Mukesh and his Composers – 24

LTNS is an unofficial Internet expression in vogue so much so that there is a wiki page too on it.
Well, its “Long Time No See” as far as my posts on the blog are concerned.
My honest excuses are detailed below.

Apart from the work routine, it was some sort of dejection that kept me away from writing. Dejection of meeting almost dead ends as far as search for rare Mukesh songs are concerned. It was my want of concentrating my efforts to try and trace rare songs that kept me away from adding new posts.

In this post I present a ‘Qawwali’ song from the movie ‘Shaan-E-Khudaa-1971’.
