Qawwali songs have been an integral part of Hindi Film Music and there have been many memorable and immortal qawwalis that we have enjoyed that Hindi Film Movies and Music have produced.
Since my childhood I have been very fascinated by ‘Qawwali’ songs and after coming into contact with this blog I have shared many Qawwalis too.
I have also presented a series of Qawwalis from the seventies wherein I presented fourteen qawwali songs.

“Trishna”(1978) was produced by G P Sippy and directed by Anil Ganguly for Sippy Films, Bombay. This “social” movie had Shashi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Rakhi, Bindu, Sujit Kumar, Dinesh Hingoo, Preeti Ganguly, Master Raju, Minu Chitnis, Preetam, Vikrant (Romeo), Adi Irani, M Hanif, Bilimoria etc. The movie also had special appearances by Aziz Naazaan, Jayshree T Uma Dhawan, Raza Murad and Dwara Divecha.

Today (19 july 2015) is the seventh birth anniversary of this blog. It was started on this day in 2008.
As mentioned in earlier posts today, there was no celebration in the blog when it turned one year old. We began to celebrate the anniversaries from subsequent years. The sixth year celebration, viz the celebration last year in july 2015 was on a grand and ambitious scale. It on on that occasion that the blog touched the magical mark of TEN THOUSAND songs.

“Five Rifles” (1974) was a C grade movie produced by comedian I S Johar. The movie itself made little impression on the movie goers, but there were a few interesting tricks that I S Johar adopted in this movie.
