Usually when we go on a road trip and if I am driving, my husband and kids knows which songs I am going to listen, I mean of which artist. So, when I ask them to play my ipod, without any inquiry, they would start playlist of Rafi. Second playlist consists of all romantic songs, another playlist is about blue mood songs, the next one is prayer/bhajans/gospel which I play in the morning. Last but not least is the playlist of songs which I can listen to any time/part of the day. I have named it as all time favorite.

R D Burman in 1970s was mostly known for composing songs that dazzled the senses. But he could also compose songs that touched the heart strings of the listeners. He tended to create the later kind of songs when he tied up with Gulzar as a lyricist. I was not sure how many songs I will be able to discuss today since I am undertaking a long 20 hours journey by train and going by my past experience, I know that internet connectivity is a problem during that time. But I am pleasantly surprised to fingd that the internet has held up for nearly an hour. It helps that the train is passing through an area which is a metropilital city and as such good connectivity is assured as long as the train remains in this area (which means for another 10 minutes). So I may as well make the most of it.
